The Sole Brothers Inaugural Annual Meeting

5/30/2023

In an epic display of brotherly bonding and outdoorsy prowess, my brothers and I embarked on our inaugural annual weekend of wilderness fun. The campsite was our base camp, providing us with all the necessities - a boat, fishing gear, and the great outdoors. The fishing marathon was a thrilling affair, the stakes as high as a pike's dorsal fin. The crowning glory was the capture of a ferocious 25" northern pike, an aquatic beast that would make Poseidon himself quake in his sandals. Not to be outdone, a feisty 3-inch sunfish also made its way onto our impressive list of catches.

In between bouts of wilderness survival, we retreated to the civility of the Minnesota Horse and Hunt Club, where we dabbled in the gentlemanly pursuits of sporting clays, pistols, archery, and pheasant hunting. The clay pigeons didn't stand a chance against our sharpshooting, and the pheasants... well, let's just say they'll be writing their own version of "The Hunger Games." It was an absolutely exhilarating weekend, filled with the kind of joy and excitement that only a bunch of brothers let loose in the wilderness can experience.

Getting ready for camp!

5/18/2023

With the new camper up at the camp and the boat finally out of storage, we are looking forward to getting the camp open for the season.  We'll have a new boat slip on Lake Little Bear and hopefully a lot more fishing to go along with that.   Stay tuned for updates from camp.
